Hey! My name is Sierra…
I am an award-winning landscape photographer based out of the Black Hills of South Dakota. I do everything I can to minimize my footprint on Earth, which is why the goal of my photographs is to show just how diminutive humans are compared to the natural world, yet we still make such a big impact. By treating the outdoors with respect, we can continue to enjoy outdoor recreation for years to come. I currently study Photography and Outdoor Education at Black Hills State University (BHSU).
I enjoy peaking Colorado’s 14ers, camping, and traveling. Some other hobbies of mine include cooking, reading, and running for BHSU’s cross country and track teams!
In recent years, I have worked as a photographer for organizations such as Adventure Unlimited Ranches, Meals on Wheels, BHSU Marketing and Communications, PONDER Magazine, Leading Ladies/Dakota Spirit, and Black Hills Works.
After securing my degrees, I plan to continue to travel all over to capture the life growing on our beautiful planet. We can enjoy the outdoors without having to destroy the outdoors.
